The start of the school year is upon us and the VESPTO is looking for YOU! We need YOU to to help us coordinate the After School Clubs, the Race to Victory, and our awesome Social events. These programs are always made possible by our amazing PTO - please consider volunteering to help us in one of these areas.Interested? School Supply Kits- Attention Parents! School supply kits have arrived. If you ordered a kit orbackpack in May, they were delivered to your child's classroom. They will be available at Meet The Teacher on Friday, August 26th. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Liszkay at email@example.com. Thank you for your orders!
Volunteer Opportunties - We have a great need for many volunteers during these first couple of weeks of school!
1st week Kindergarten Helpers - We're looking for additional help for our new Kindergartners during their first week. For many kids, it's too upsetting to see Mom/Dad, Grandma/Grandpa, so we're looking for non-Kindergarten parents to help with check-in, play at Centers and be extra hands. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ** Kindergarten parents, there will be plenty of other opportunities to help as we settle into the school year **
1st Week VES Helpers (different from Kindergarten Helpers!) We all want to make sure that our students and teachers get off to the best possible start, and need MANY volunteers the first week of school to make sure that happens! We are looking for some parents to help out everywhere the kids are - the bus loop, car rider lines, walkers, hallways, lunch in the cafeteria, and in the office! There are many options, and all are important! Please consider taking a shift somewhere and help ensure that this week flows smoothly. Sign up here to be a 1st Week VES Helper!
Watch D.O.G.S. - Calling all Dads of Great Students (DOGS!) Join us in the cafeteria on Thursday, September 8th at 6pm as we kick off a new program at Victory called Watch D.O.G.S. Spirit Night - September 14th 4:30-7:30 - Why Cook Wednesday? at Chick-fil- A on Sudley Rd. They will give 10% back of ALL total sales from the three hours. Click here for a printable flyer!and be sure to take it with you so we can get the credit!
Westie Waggle will be Friday, October 14th! Westie Waggle is our big, kid-powered FUNdraiser for the Fall! We look forward to running, jumping, dancing and waggling our way around the Loop behind the school. This is a guaranteed fun time for the kids and adults! Be on the lookout for all the information you need!
Congratulations to Mr. Chad Wray, the new Principal of Victory Elementary. Mr. Wray most recently served as the Assistant Principal of Piney Branch Elementary. There will be 2 short "Meet and Greet" opportunities on Monday, August 15th. The first will be held at 1 p.m. and the second will be held at 6 p.m. Both will be held at the school and will be about 45 minutes in length. Please join us in giving Mr. Wray a warm welcome to Victory and its communities!!
